Our Division 2 preview takes on a different form, with Paul Reynolds undisposed due to umpiring duties.

Player movements have a massive impact on the top division, with Dublin University particularly becoming a different side to the one that struggled last year. Amongst others, today will see the Trinity debut for former Merrion pro Matt Petrie, Ireland's George Dockrell (who made one previous attempt at playing for his college, but was thwarted by the rain), and Ireland under 19 star Lorcan Tucker. That amount of quality could make Trinity a real handful this season.

And although on the surface, some teams could struggle, multiple new player registrations (such as at Terenure and Cork County) could unearth some real gems.
