A Warm Welcome to College Park

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to College Park. This season is the first following the partnership between Trinity and Cricket Leinster. Already extensive work has been done on the wickets during the winter and hopefully this will near fruit. Other changes should see new sight screens, cover and a boundary rope. Hopefully the latter won't compleely eliminate the tradition of pitch incursions-but may make them less frequent!

Our first XI will look to build on last seasons second place finish while the seconds may find the season tougher following promotion and the graduation of several stalwarts. The thirds will will play in Div 13 again and having three mens teams plays testimony to the number of students playing cricket in college. The womens team will have more matches this season and hopefully Sorchas squad will continue to progress.

This season sees Ireland play their first test match. Irelands finest cricketer is a Trinity stalwart Ed Joyce and he will be guest of honour at our annual lunch which will take place at our game against Railway Union on May 27th. It would be great to see as many alumni and friends as possible at what has become one of the highlights of the year
